New Local Area Employment Services (LAES) replaces Local Employment Service and Jobs Club
DNP’s Local Employment Service and Jobs Club has been in existence for the past 25 years, successfully providing career guidance and job seeking supports to individuals and groups in the local communities. After a lengthy review, the Department of Social Protection has replaced the Local Employment Service (LES) and Jobs Club programmes with a new Local Area Employment Service (LAES). In December 2021, the Department of Social Protection issued a Request for Tender for this service. We were delighted to receive the news in July that DNP’s joint bid with Empower CLG was successful.
The new LAES will commence from September and will work with clients directly referred from Department of Social Protection that are unemployed for 24 months or more and those most distant from the labour market. DNP Employment Services will continue to be offered in our Finglas and Cabra offices. If you require any further information, please contact us on 01 8361666 or info@dublinnorthwest.ie.
