Dublin Northwest Partnership (DNP) is delighted to invite you to our Social Inclusion Seminar 2023 to enjoy a celebration of the Social Inclusion work carried out by Local Community Groups in 2022. Registration is now open.
Please note: You must register individually as we need to know numbers for room capacity and refreshments. The Seminar will be held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Northwood, Santry, Dublin 9 on Friday 3rd February
Attendance sign in for the seminar is 9am to 9.45am. Seminar will start at 10am sharp!
The Seminar will launch Dublin Northwest Partnership Social Inclusion supports grants for 2023 and will provide an opportunity to find out about eligibility and the application process. The seminar will also provide an opportunity to network and to hear about the wonderful work carried out by Local Community Groups in 2022.
Guest Speaker: Zak Moradi,
Zak Moradi is a Kurdish, Irish hurler who plays as a left corner-forward for the Leitrim senior team.
Born in Ramadi, Iraq, Zak and his family relocated to Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland in 2002. He first played competitive hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the St. Mary’s Kiltoghert club. After moving to Dublin, Zak joined the Thomas Davis club.
Zak made his debut on the inter-county scene when he joined the Leitrim senior team in 2010. Since then he has become a regular member of the starting fifteen. In 2016 Zak was included on the Lory Meagher Cup Champions 15.
In June 2019, Zak was part of the Leitrim team that won the 2019 Lory Meagher Cup after a 2–23 to 2–22 win against Lancashire at Croke Park.
His memoir Life Begins in Leitrim, written with Niall Kelly, was published in 2022
